FAQ SECTION..

....

From ages 0 to 4 -

  • Thick plantar fat pad , covers arches causing a “false” flat foot .
  • Fat pad : absorbed at age 4 – 5. A true flat foot can only be diagnosed after 6 yrs.
  • Knock knee, rear foot, valgus “false” foot , appear at 4 – 5 yrs (transitional phase) usually resolved by 6yrs.
  • Child under age of 4 - inaccurate foot assessment result.
  • Inform parents of the options:
  • CIONE Shoes : supportive heel counter, mild arch support + medium height in Upper support design of the shoe.
  1. Feet protection
  2. Prevent flat foot complications
  • Foot arches start to appear at 4 prominent after 6 .
  • Rear foot will be more straight after 6 .
  • Assessment first : more understanding = better acceptance of healthy shoes .
  • An infant who is learning to walk is not recommended to wear CIONE shoes, because :
  1. Too hard
  2. Too thick in/outsole
  3. minimizes the sensation of grip

Recommendation :

  • Bare foot during indoor activity
  • Soft shoes or socks with anti – slip function
  • Healthy shoes could be worn after :
  • Age of 1-1/2
  • Child must be walking without help.
