From ages 0 to 4 -

Thick plantar fat pad , covers arches causing a “false” flat foot .

Fat pad : absorbed at age 4 – 5. A true flat foot can only be diagnosed after 6 yrs.

Knock knee, rear foot, valgus “false” foot , appear at 4 – 5 yrs (transitional phase) usually resolved by 6yrs.

Child under age of 4 - inaccurate foot assessment result.
